Mumbai: The controversy surrounding late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian's death has once again come into the spotlight. On September 2, 2026, the Bombay High Court ordered the CBI to take over the investigation into Disha Salian's 2020 death.

The court directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to register an FIR in the case and record the statement of Disha Salian's father, Satish Salian. The court also directed that a senior and experienced officer be appointed to oversee the investigation.
